Star Wars - Sith Female

Description

I've been sampling what amount of media there is to browse regarding Bioware's Star Wars MMO in development, "The Old Republic". As usual, Bioware manages to maintain a solid 50/50 when it comes to catching my attention; compelling storytelling options and fully voiced dialogue options seem like a good catch, but the combat gameplay and animation are still a questionable element, especially when compared to the phenominal and unfortunately Korean MMO, Blade and Soul. As it is, I am on the fence about the game as a whole.

I also took a look at some of their concept art. If I do get the game, I'm likely going to be playing with Adam and company and we'll start a Sith guild or something. In respect to that interest, I started browsing the concept gallery for Sith armor. Compared to Dragon Age's armor, SWTOR's armor exceeded my expectations for Bioware armor design (which is to say, not very high). Between the Sith Warrior and the Sith Inquisitor, the designs ranged from "Hm, okay that looks workable" to "Why is this even in Star Wars?". with regards to Sith design, however, something REALLY bothered me. It might just be my design sensibilities clashing with what slim Star Wars knowledge I possess, but I'm personally of the opinion that Sith armor should be asymmetrical. I mean, if the Sith embrace chaos as their standard, why are their costumes so intricately tailored to be symmetrical?

To that end, I started doodling on my own. This is the first piece of Sith clothes I devised (for a female, obviously. But before you grill me for my preference towards females, I DO have a male design also, who I actually drew first; his lineart is just a LOT more complicated). To me, Sith are more than just "angry Jedi with red swords and lightning fingers". There is so much to the Sith creed regarding freedom, passion and emotion that usually gets overshadowed by the fact that near all Sith are driven by hatred and rage. What about other vices? What about the other sins?

This outfit I designed emphasises pride and power. This particular Sith lady isn't afraid to show off her body, but the regalia adorned upon her uniform command respect. The militaristic adornments (her metal gloves and greaves) not only offer her some degree of protection (since space clothes seem to demand some amount of metal plates to be present), but also let her foes know that she can and WILL kick your ass if you cross her. The outfit is also lightweight, ideal for acrobatic lightsaber combat, and also looks badass with a Black Sith Cloak™ draped over it.

Of course, only in MY mind does it makes sense that a female Sith lord has a flat bobcut and round-framed glasses. It's not completely unreasonable for maniacal space tyrants to be near-sighted, is it? Besides, the only other option for Sith haircuts seems to be... well, shaven. I hope you can understand why I didn't want to make her bald.

Male Sith coming later, as his design is somehow a lot more complex.

I like her glasses and the boots. Something about a Liberian sith is sexy. She reminds me of a Liberian.
